Jason is a trained horticulturist with a passion for food, farming, and community! Jason has worked with public gardens, greenhouse growing operations, and small organic vegetable farms mostly in urban settings. Within the next year Jason hopes to purchase a few acres within 1-2 hours of New York City where he can set up a small farm. After he finds a suitable property, Jason's five-year plan is to have a steady income stream that sustains employees, programming, and food distribution. He also plans to have educational programs for all who have an interest in plants and producing food. Jason prides himself on being a farmer and horticulturist of color and "hopes to engage with the diverse communities of New York through monthly [on farm] events." He wants the farm to "serve as a site for education, growth, and healing."
