The land is currently being used for pasture of 70 sheep, 6 cows and haying by one of our neighbors on 50/50 share, 5 acres of row crop land available on site and more acreage available across the street on the flat lands . All available farmland is organic certifiable immediately. Land has been used for rotational grazing with sheep for 4 years, and last 2 years we added cows from neighbor farm. This farm was originally used for corn and soy 5 years ago, now pasture in lower parts and biodynamic haying by Camphill Village Farms. It has been five complete years since any application of Certified Organic prohibited substances, so the land is now organic certifiable. The land has also been under biodynamic management for the past four years. We welcome a holistic and ethical approach to farming.

Livestock/crops description :
Lifestock farmer to start on 20 acres with small animals, future possible to expand to have larger animals. Last fall we planted in the upper 50 acres hazel & chestnut trees as seedlings in rows 50-80 feet apart which allows for haying and future animal expansion, which allows for about 40 acres of haying and future pasture land. The available acres are equipped for the production of most crops for no-till farming; the current infastructure will serve well for fruits and vegetables production. We don't require Organic Certification but we require organic methods of production.
