Red Creek, NY, Wayne County
Open Tillable Acres
Wooded (or other) Acres
Condition & Current Use
Property used to be actively farmed up until about 5 years ago. Most of the property is currently unused. Landowners utilize a section of the property for a home garden and for their personal animals. Property is split in two halves by a creek. One side of the property has the landowners house and about 3 acres of fenced in pasture. The other side is about half wooded and half open acreage that has not been mowed in about 4 years. Would likely need to be tilled before use.
Seeking a short term lease, possibility for long term or rent to own if everything is going well initially.
Do you require a farmer who qualifies for agricultural assessment?
Livestock / Crops Description
We are open to any type of production that the property can support, but we do prefer low or no chemical usage since we have fresh water on the property that we need to take care of. We currently do a have a few livestock as pets, all very friendly and healthy.
Preferred Farming Method
There are 3 acres fenced. We do have a pet cow, pet sheep, and a pig on it right now. Looks like goat fencing but we are repairing it all the time.
We are on town water so any water usage from the barn or house would have to be paid for. We can make an arrangement for this. There is also a creek that runs through the middle of the property.
Barns for Equipment/Storage
Very small barn and a couple of lean to/run in sheds in the pastures.
Additional Property Information
Prefer no or very low chemcial usage.
