Description of the property’s current condition and current use(s):

The property is currently an active farm producing pasture raised natural meats, forest products, maple syrup, and hay. There is a complete conservation plan in place and the farm is registered with state and federal agencies for appropriate programs. It is also a diversified agritourism venture with lodging, a restaurant/art gallery, hiking trails, and other facilities. We have an excellent reputation and have been in business for 15 years. 

We are looking for partner farmers who will develop their own business plan to utilize our assets in a viable , sustainable, business venture. We only want to partner with people who have a long term vision. The lease will initially be based on a percentage of revenues in order to minimize start up costs.  If successful and agreed to by both parties, after the initial lease term, the lease could include an option to buy. This option to buy could include a mortgage provided by us. 

Farm history / past uses of the property:

We purchased an abandoned hayfield in 2002 and subsequent to that time have developed an agritourism venture built around a farmstead.

Partner farmers will have to be open to continuing the agritourism ventures which we believe are vital to generating sufficient levels of income to sustain the farm and farmers.

We will only consider long term leases or lease with an option to buy arrangements.
