Dog Wood Farm is a located on 87 acres in Old Chatham, NY. We are in our fifth year of production raising grassfed beef, pastured poultry, and indoor cultivated mushrooms. We are a good natured, hard working crew managing a diverse set of growing farm enterprises.
Our farming practices are rooted in principles of holistic management, regenerative agriculture, and permaculture design. Our farm is a hub both of farmer collaboration and community interaction and engagement, with infrastructure to host on-farm events, workshops, and tours. We will be opening an on-farm store and certified farm kitchen later this year.
We sell our foods on the farm, via a local wholesale delivery route, at farmer’s markets, and through Good Food Farmers – a food distribution business focused on small-scale and beginning farmers that we manage in collaboration with other farmers.
