Description of the property’s current condition and current use(s):

We are seeking a diligent and inspired leader with strong regenerative farming skills to join Eden Village Camp as our Farm Manager for the 2021 season. This position is contract through October, with potential to become full-time, year-round after that.

Our farm is based on permaculture, regenerative and organic ethos. We grow diversified vegetables, flowers, fruit trees and tend to bees, chickens and goats. We use the farm to teach values to 450 campers a summer. As part of the Farm Team, you will manage the Farm and will assist the Management team with developing and implementing the ongoing strategy of the farm program. You will work closely with the Assistant Director and Farm Apprenticeship Director.

Manages Eden Village’s 3 acre farm and animal program

Managing the farm labor plan, including farm apprentices and other farm staff; summer farm “shomrim”, and volunteers

Maintaining site-wide composting system

Train Farm Educator Apprentices in farming practices and skills
Manage post-harvest; liaise with Executive Chef on crop plan and harvest schedules
