Condition & Current Use

Property is 140 acres with approximately 30 acres that are available to an incoming farmer. Undulating hills consisting of Nassau shaly silt loam, outcrops of Nassau-Rock and some areas of level Farmington-Rock. There are some seasonal ponds and a creek running through parts of the property. Some of the land is already leased for alfalfa production, there are some hay fields available for grazing. We have a goal to make the land into a productive farm steeped in regenerative farming practices. We also want to incorporate agri-tourism aspects to the farm.

We are looking to connect with farmers with like minded interest to help us achieve this vision for the property. Open to different arrangements depending on the farmers needs and the production type. There is additional infrastructure on the land that could be made available.

Applications Open for Dairy Funding Accelerator Program

The Hudson Valley AgriBusiness Development Corporation (HVADC) has opened applications for its upcoming Northeast Dairy Funding Accelerator (DFA) program. The 20-month intensive training curriculum will combine virtual and in-person sessions, as well as group and personalized Business Technical Assistance (BTA) training to help each participant meet their individualized needs. Funding for the program is being provided by the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (NE-DBIC). Applications are being accepted until December 1, 2023.
