Our 55 acre Community Farm is a work in progress, growing year by year since Fall 2016. We have 10 acres available inside of a 8 foot deer fence in close proximity to the Erie Canal for sustainable irrigation. We also have member garden plots, other vacant land for planting and 3 greenhouses.
Farm history / past uses of the property:
The Farm was established in 1825 while the construction of the Erie Canal was built. It has a historic home that will eventually be remodeled, it has Historic Barns which is in progress of renovation. Previous use of the property was a dairy farm, then a vegetable U-Pick. Homesteads for Hope purchased the property in Fall of 2016 for the purpose of an inclusive community farm focusing on Agritourism, education, vocational and recreational programs for all the enjoy.

We are seeking a FT / Salaried or Seasonal Farm Manager. Homesteads for Hope is a Inclusive Community Farm focusing on Agritourism. We Offer Programs, Classes, Recreational Membership, CSA Food Share, Community & Private Events. We are seeking a Farmer who can help us maintain our land up to 5 acres for a CSA program, Support education of Member Planting Boxes and Support the Future Growth of Agriculture on the Farm.

H4H is a 501c3 nonprofit Farm, and our main program is called Ready! Set! Work! and it is a 3 day Vocational Program for young adults with and without disabilities seeking to learn to work in natures classroom, offering social and life skills which will allow them jobs on the farm and in the greater community. Farmer candidate will need to help facilitate educational focus opportunities through agriculture. We offer creative and flexibility of choice of experience.
