Condition & Current Use

I am an new owner of Ischua Ridge Farm. I believe the farm had been more active about thirty years ago. Up until this year about 20 acres of the farm was used for corn and hay. It was not farmed in 2022 as the farmers retired. I would like to make these 20 acres available again to a new farmer. The incoming farmer could use all 20 acres or less depending on their business plan. Ideally hoping to qualify this portion of the property for an agricultural assessment so the new farmer needs to be able to qualify.

Currently I am renting the house on the land and the pond. Hope to keep the farming operation separate from the house as much as possible. Much of the back acreage is wooded.  Pictures of the property to come.

Soil Types

The farm fields are made of primarily Rushford channery silt loam, 3 to 8 percent slopes and Dalton silt loam, 3 to 8 percent slopes. Most of the property is considered farmland soils of statewide importance. See attached soils map.

Farm History & Past Use

Had been a working farm about thirty years ago, has grown hay and recently corn.
