silty loam

Farm History & Past Use

Dormant since 1992, previously small dairy for about 85 years. Idyllic small grazing operation - have been trying to get a milk market for 3 years to no avail so it is time to pivot into the local csa/ meat and eggs markets. We now have dairy, beef, pork, poultry and bees - all pastured!

Fencing

Peremiter is up

Water Access

Tons of natural springs, 2 ponds

New vacuum pump in the barn - repairs and upgrades needed and never ending

Farm was spring fed for over 100 years - looking forward to reinvigorating those old systems!

Barns for Livestock

Original 1850's 2 story with early century lean to tie stall addition. Antiquated but usable.

Barns for Equipment/Storage

1860's main barn, empty milk house,  a very narrow 32 stall tie stall - concrete in good condition - overall could use updating/ expansion! Could be used for any number of possibilities - hay mows, chicken coop and more. Ideally prefer someone with the ability to make capital investments to take this blank slate into something wonderful and regenerative again. Open to sweat equity and skills.

Farmer Housing

Duplex available - usually leased through academic year(s)

Original 1850's farmhouse now a 3 bedroom/ 2 bedroom duplex - super cool spaces!
