Condition & Current Use

Currently growing on approx 8 acres, including a 1-1/2 acre hops yard.  Most of the acreage is populated with fruit trees, berry bushes, and Xmas trees.  I also have a vegetable garden and a berry bush garden.  The property also has huge foraging potential with wild nut trees, lots of wild edible mushrooms, and many varities of wild berries.  We are dabbling in growing mushrooms in logs and beekeeping.  The property also has a pond and wetlands areas that are suitable for aquaponics and other agricultural uses.  The long-range plan is to build a brewery with a food operation and to host farm weddings.  We also have an 18-hole Disc Golf course on site and we will be adding a pro shop and farm market.  I want to utilize as much of what naturally occurs along with what we might be consciously growing.  We practice "Fungriculture" here.  This means that if you have a skillset or passion that you want to share, this is the place to do it.  We will be building a gathering space ideal to conduct workshops and seminars so you can share that passion.  The opportunities are endless. Do not hesitate to contact the owner with an idea for a new venture that would work with what is currently happening on the property.  You can view the soil and topography map attached to the bottom of this profile for more details!

Soil Types

Please see soils maps attached at the bottom of the profile!

Farm History & Past Use

Unclear on past history.  Soils were tested prior to my purchase of the property in 2011 and the soil is clean and excellent for most agricultural uses.

I am open to discussing a win-win opportunity. The opportunity also exists for the prospective "farmer" to design, create, operate, and share in the profits of other revenue centers if we so choose.  For example, if the farmer creates and operates a CSA or manages or creates other revenue streams then we could create a partnership agreement associated with those revenue centers.

Do you require a farmer who qualifies for agricultural assessment?

No

Livestock / Crops Description

The only limitations on livestock and crops are a function of peacefully co-existing with an existing 18-hole Disc Golf course on-site, the future brewery location, existing infrastructure, and wetlands and woods not suitable for livestock or crops. Really open to any idea a farm manager may have!
