For Lease

I'm a Philadelphia based builder who specializes in historical renovation and sustainable construction.  Eventually, I plan to build a house somewhere on the property but I would love to see someone farm the land for the foreseeable future.  Looking to lease the property (house, stable, land, etc) to a small organic/regenerative farmer.  Would be open to leasing to another person for their horses as well, but they would be responsible for their care.

Are you willing to mentor a new or beginning farmer?

No

Do you require a farmer who qualifies for agricultural assessment?

Negotiable

Production Preferences

Livestock / Crops Description

Would prefer crop-centric farming however would allow limited livestock (horses, ponies, goats/sheep) and poultry.  Organic/regenerative farming methods very strongly preferred. Property is very close to Hudson so there is marketing opportunities there for produce.

Additional Property Information

Will work with the right farmer to figure out tenure options, pricing, and allowable uses.  Acreage limits size of incoming operation, however, we want to be considerate to our neighbors.  I care deeply about what is put in and on the soil and crops!

No

Is the property located in a NY Agricultural District?

Unsure

Can the public be on the property as a part of the farm business?
