Property Description

Soil types:

Most of it is sandy loam on flat ground.

Description of the property’s current condition and current use(s):

My wife and I recently purchased this farm, which was in production as a poulty farm and pastureland for many years. We are not currently able to put enough of it in production, beyond our chickens and my 1/4 acre garden. We would love to work with some aspiring farmers to allow this place to live up to its potential.

Farm history / past uses of the property:

Was zoned as a poultry farm. I also know that there have been horses, hogs, and goats on the property. I have been told that it has been chemically free for at least twenty years.

Farm Infrastructure

Infrastructure and equipment:

  • Fencing
  • Water access
  • Barns or other facilities for storage of equipment, livestock, and crops
  • Electrical Access

Water access description:

There is a well that provides consistent quality water. In fact, it was even used to provide water in a drought to the nursery across the road.

Barns/structures description:

The barn was recently remodeled with 4 state of the art horse stalls. Currently, it's just being used for storage.

Types of crops permitted to be produced on the property:

Vegetables, Fruits, Grains, Ornamentals, Hay, Other Crops

Types of livestock permitted on the property:

Cattle - Beef, Cattle - Dairy, Equine, Goats/Sheep, Pigs, Poultry, Other livestock

Livestock/crops description :

Would love to have larger livestock to graze down pastures on property.

Tenure Options

Tenure options:

For Lease, Partnership, Other Tenure Agreement

Description of tenure options:

Am interested in whatever is mutually beneficial. The important thing for us is that we want to have shared values and get along with whomever has stewardship of our property. Let's talk about it!

Additional Information

Preferences and restrictions on agricultural activities:

Would like to discuss it and have limitations. E.g., wouldn't mind having a pick your own pumpkin operation.

Do you require a farmer who qualifies for agricultural assessment?:

Are you willing to have the public on the property as a part of the farm business?:

Any additional information about this property:

The original house on the farm, which is now just an outbuilding with electric and water was built in 1770. n
