Soil types:

Property entirely consist of prime silt loam type soils. Majority is Lewbeach Channery Silt Loam (LeC & LfF) with the second most abundant being Onteora Silt Loam (OnC & OoC). Two of the smaller fields are Willowemoc silt loam (WmB).

Description of the property’s current condition and current use(s):

Farm has been owned by the same family since the 1940s. Over the course of time is has been used for hay primarily, but has has sheep and horses in the past. Fields have not been hayed in quite a few years, but with some work could easily be mowed again. Landowners are open to working out an arrangement with a farmer who would like to use the land for vegetables or other produce. Land needs some work to get up to par, but the soils and location are good. Willing to work out a long term arrangement with flexible terms.
