Farming Status and Plans
Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
I am currently grazing a herd of 50 cattle in Stone Ridge NY. We use holistic management practices to build soil health and pasture productivity. Our practices are all organic, and focus on respecting both our herd and the land through high intesity rotational grazing. We produce high quality pasture raised beef for the community and hope in the near future to grow our herd size and add other livestock. We are currently seeking more land in Ulster County to extend our grazing season and build our herd size.
Description of marketing method:
We direct market our beef to the Marbletown community as freezer beef.
