We currently have two (2) farming businesses:

1) one-acre land (leasehold, renewed yearly) focused on: wildflowers, herbs with apiary. Future plans: secure own land to permanently set-up garden and apiary.

2) ten-acre water site (leasehold) farming oysters (nursery and grow-out): Future plans: secure waterfront site to permanently set-up nursery and grow-out oysters.




Description of marketing method:

1) Flower Farm: marketing locally, participant at Greenport Farmer's Market; Pop-up Farmstands at local businesses. 2) Oyster Farm: marketing locally and Brooklyn NY; direct to business owners (e.g. restaurants; oyster bars); Greenport Farmer's Market.

Experience description:

Husband & wife have broad agricultural experience over more than 3 decades. Cam grew-up on 2000 acre mixed-use cereal crop (wheat, sunflowers, sorghum, chickpeas) and livestock (sheep, cattle, pigs, geese) farm in Australia. Meg has been farming oysters for past 5 years, and was trained at Cornell University Aquaculture Extension SPAT program, and Roger Williams University Applied Aquaculture Certification course and for beekeeping has Montana University Master Beekeeping Certification. Member of New York City Beekeeping Field Studies.
