Description of farming status, plans, and practices:

East End Stems Farm is a small specialty cut flower farm. We sell mainly wholesale bunches to florist p, wholesale bouquets to local growers and grocery stores and retail business subscriptions. A bouquet csa is a future project I am working on.  Currently everything is field grown but season extenders are in the future plans.  I am looking to lease 3 - 5 acres.

Description of infrastructure:

Water access would be a must, drip irrigation is preferred.  Deer fencing would be a great, but I could put up some type of fencing to help with deer damage.

I would like something long term sine I do want to focus on perennials such as hydrangeas, peonies, viburnum and willows. But an open to 5 year lease with option to renew at the end of each lease term

Experience description:

I am the owner / farmer of my current flower farm. I have three years experience as farm manager / farmer of a start up farm. I worked as a research assistant in the vegetable pathology program at Cornell Universiy’s Research Center in Riverhead for four years.
