Farming Status and Plans

Description of farming status, plans, and practices:

Plans and Practices:  Looking for land to practice a no dig, intensive management market garden, establish perennial fruit and nut crops, and experiment with pastured broilers and layers (chickens). Short term goal of producing most of our family's produce and livestock needs and then selling the excess. Very focused on soil regeneration, farm economics (little to no debt, earning profit quickly), and producing the highest quality product on the least amount of land. Very mindful of profit per acre and maximizing efficiency on the farm. 

Description of marketing method:

Would like to sell at a farmer's market and eventually experiment with a "pre-sale" model where we advertise online or through a co-op and only come to market with what is pre-ordered.

I currently have a full time job in the area and would like to partner or lease land to learn necessary farming skills to become proficient enough to transfer to full time farming as operations become profitable. We are very mindful of maintaining economic stability, and earning profit is just as important to our farming model as is good farming practice in general.

Experience description:

I have around 2 years of volunteer experience on a 140 acre pastured beef and dairy farm that also had pastured layers and broilers. They also maintain a pecan orchard and sell nut products, yogurt, beef, and eggs at a farmer's market and a variety of other outlets (restaraunts, special order, etc.).  I also have 6 years volunteer experience on a small, family run organic market garden based farm in Georgia that focused exclusively on nutrient density of the produce for cancer patients in and around Atlanta, GA.
