Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
Currently I run Bed Stuy Fresh in Brooklyn through my job as a vocational physics teacher in the NYCDOE. We had 6,000 sq feet of food production that is closing down due to a new park this fall. That space provided for a 20 person CSA, a food equity program, and a low cost market. We have 3 outside perennial native gardens for people to enjoy and are opening a 4th at a new site. We run 4 indoor hydroponic growing systems. I am interested in buying state upland and over a few years Transition upstate full time. My partner is a chef / butcher.

Focused on finished food product opposed to raw veggies.
