Farming Status and Plans
Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
Mission Statement Our mission is to grow healthy, high-quality organic produce and sell at an affordable cost to the local community. Through education and volunteer opportunities, we want to help cultivate a space where members of our community can develop a relationship with the land where their food is grown. We want to inspire sustainability and support local commerce. Vision We would like to carry out our mission using the CSA business model as our main focus/source of income. Our short term goal is to move to the Hudson Valley and start a small CSA operation that will eventually allow us to both work on the farm full-time. Our long term goal is to live on and run a 20-50 acre certified organic vegetable CSA farm with some livestock in the Hudson Valley area that involves you-pick activities, on-farm educational and volunteer opportunities, relationships with local restaurants/businesses, and participation in local farmers' markets.
