Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
I am currently farming at the Hudson Valley Farm Hub as part of the profarmer program where I am managing a 1 acre hop yard as well as doing many of the day to day work activities for our 60 acre mixed vegetable operation. I have also been the lead on many of our roll and crimp no till veg practices and am invested in new ways of organic sustainable ecologically minded agriculture including cover cropping, green manuring, roll and crimping, transfer mulching, and many other practices. It is my goal to start my own farm someday that has social justice, and ecological sustainablity at the heart of everything that we do. I envision my future farm as being a diversified operation of mixed veg, hops, and organic barley.

I spent many years on my family's farm in Kansas growing corn, wheat, soy, and beef cattle and now have spent 2 years at the hudson valley farm hub growing organic vegetables and hops.
