Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
We had our own organic farming business (CSA and market) in Illinois for a little over 10 years on rented land. Our last year farming on the property, a lease was offered to us by them, one which we felt was unsustainable for our business. We declined signing that lease and decided to look for a more permanent, stable farm for us to be at. We decided on New York since it is close to family and we have a lot of good friends in the state. Our still-active business website is www.radicalrootfarm.com for more information about us.

We had done plenty of social media advertising, as well as word-of-mouth and making connections in our last business.

Before running our own farm, we had interned, worked and managed farms. We have an educational background in organic growing, permaculture and medicinal herb growing.
