Farming Status and Plans

Description of farming status, plans, and practices:

I have developed an interest in fruit and nut tree propogation from cutting and seed.  My plan for now is to seek land that I can slowly begin to develop this fall with the ultimate goal of creating a small, self-run, tree nursery business.  Bare root fruit and nut trees is the goal, but some ornamental varieties would be nice as well in addition to perennial food crops.  The operation would house hens that would help generate compost for lush, nutrient-rich beds for raising young, bare root trees of all varieties with the goal of shipping 1 to 2-year-old bare root trees in the spring and fall in an online forum.  Other ways of supplementing my income would be developed over the years, but for now I would like to acquire some rough land to begin creating hugelmounds which would break down in the coming years and turn into fertile beds for planting.

Description of marketing method:

Online primarily for shipping bare root trees in the spring and fall.  Potentially a small farmer's market operation of perennial crops and eggs.
