My partner, Paul, and I are looking for land to start a small permaculture farm and homestead. We're mostly interested in leading a more self-sufficient lifestyle (especially in the first few years), with plans to set up an edible plant nursery to provide additional income.

We're flexible as far as infrastructure is concered, although we'd prefer a parcel with water and electrical ready to go.

Description of livestock/crops:

We're looking to grow the majority of the produce we eat by utilizing a combination of organic raised beds and a larger forest garden system. We'd like to keep ducks and chickens for pest-management, fertilization, and meat and eggs, as well as sheep or goats down the line.

In addition to more concrete experience through WWOOF, we've maintained raised bed and in-ground vegetable gardens at our suburban home for the last two years, and I will be taking classes through Cornell's Small Farms Program during the Fall and Winter of 2020..
