Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
I grew up in the Hudson Valley region and spent my younger years working on various farms in the area. I went to college for Culinary Arts and that experience made me really embrace local, quality food. After college I traveled to Hawaii where I managed and designed a 7 acre tropical fruit farm. Afterwards I spent time on the West Coast managing a few smaller acreage farms out there. This all led me back to where I was raised and showed me what a truly unique place this is. My plan is to work towards growing food here in the Hudson Valley, year round, through techniques I've learned over the years. Also incorporating more exotic crops, that haven't reached our valley in terms of production quite yet. I believe I have a unique skill set and a foundational knowledge of what will grow well and in turn sell well in the market place.
