Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
My wife and I are currently co-owners of a non-ag related business formed in 2017, with a proven track record of success and profitability. We are looking to transition into regenerative, organic farming. Ideally, we would learn under someone in exchange for labor. We have our own housing (travel trailer) that we currently live in, and can travel anywhere in the state. Our situation is unique, and not right for some, but we have faith that the right people will find us.
We are currently small scale trial farming on a family members' property in the Finger Lakes region this summer (2021). We are growing blueberries, raspberries, rhubarb, bush beans, corn, hot and sweet peppers, tomatoes, and carrots. Currently using only hand implements and organic inputs.
