I am an engineer and entrepreneur transitioning into regenerative agriculture. My long-term goal is to establish a restoration agriculture farm that improves soil health, biodiversity, and long-term land stewardship while producing high-quality local food. I have completed regenerative agriculture training with Mark Shepard of New Forest Farm and am committed to applying principles such as rotational grazing, agroforestry, silvopasture, perennial cropping systems, and holistic land management.
Initially, I am seeking to lease farmland to build a sustainable farm business while maintaining my engineering career. My first enterprises will likely include rotationally grazed livestock, pastured poultry, and perennial tree crops. I also operate a growing direct-to-consumer local food business, giving me an existing customer base and experience marketing premium farm products.
I am looking for a long-term relationship with a landowner who values responsible stewardship. My goal is to leave the land healthier, more productive, and more ecologically resilient than when I began farming it.

My agricultural education has focused on regenerative farming and restoration agriculture. I completed a three-day intensive workshop led by Mark Shepard, founder of New Forest Farm and author of Restoration Agriculture. The training covered rotational grazing, agroforestry, silvopasture, perennial crop systems, soil health, water management, and designing profitable farming systems modeled after natural ecosystems.
In addition to formal training, I have spent the past several years studying regenerative agriculture, grazing management, livestock production, and direct-to-consumer food marketing. I currently operate a growing direct-to-consumer food business connecting customers with regenerative livestock farmers, which has given me practical experience in marketing, customer relationships, and the economics of local food systems.
My background as a mechanical engineer has also strengthened my skills in planning, problem solving, project management, and building long-term systems. I am committed to continuing my education and working with experienced farmers and mentors as I transition into full-scale regenerative farming.

My goal is to develop a regenerative farming system that integrates rotationally grazed beef cattle, pasture-raised poultry, perennial fruit and nut trees, native pollinator habitat, and honeybees into one resilient ecosystem. I plan to implement managed rotational grazing to improve soil health, increase biodiversity, and build long-term fertility while producing high-quality local food.
Over time, I hope to establish restoration agriculture plantings including chestnuts, hazelnuts, elderberries, apples, and other perennial food-producing species. My focus is on improving the land each year while building a sustainable farm business that supports both environmental stewardship and local food production.
Marketing Method
My marketing strategy focuses on direct-to-consumer sales and building long-term relationships with customers who value locally produced, regeneratively raised food. I currently operate a growing direct-to-consumer food business that connects families with regenerative livestock farmers, giving me experience with customer communication, online ordering, and recurring sales. As my farm grows, I plan to market through farm pickup, community-supported agriculture (CSA), local farmers markets, social media, and partnerships with local businesses and restaurants. My goal is to build a trusted local brand based on transparency, quality, and responsible land stewardship.

Water access
Reliable water access is the main requirement for livestock and crop establishment. Existing perimeter fencing would be helpful, but I am willing to install and maintain portable or temporary electric fencing for rotational grazing with the landowner’s approval. Permanent barns, housing, electricity, and equipment are not required initially. I am open to adapting the farm plan to the property’s existing infrastructure and using mobile shelters, portable water systems, and off-site storage where practical.
Desired Tenure
I am primarily seeking a long-term farmland lease that allows me to establish a regenerative farming operation and responsibly improve the property over time. I am also open to purchasing the right property, a lease-to-own arrangement, seller financing, or a partnership with a landowner or investor who shares an interest in keeping land in active agriculture.
For leased land, I would prefer a multi-year agreement with renewal options and clear permission for rotational grazing, temporary fencing, mobile livestock shelters, water systems, and mutually approved perennial plantings. I am flexible and interested in creating an arrangement that protects the landowner while giving the farm enough stability to make responsible long-term improvements.
