Our vision is to farm vegetables, fruit trees and herbs and raise enough poultry, beef and sheep/goats to feed ourselves and develop a self sufficient homestead farm. We would also like to develop an agribusiness that includes a farm stand to sell surplus and also produce soaps, herbal medicines and other crafted items. We have an interest in using biodynamic, organic and permaculture practices.

Husband grew up raising chickens, sheep, pigs and managed a farm/bed and breakfast. He has experience in gardening, wood processing, pest control and general construction.We have a 16 year old son with a strong interest in growing things and developing his green thumb, and 13 & 10 year old sons who are able to help with farm chores and other general labor as well.

Farm Beginnings is a foundations course developed for experienced farmers, gardeners, and farm workers who want to build their own farm businesses focused on food, herbs, or flowers in the Northeast. The course is focused on providing business training for land-based farm operations and is primarily focused on serving BIPOC, immigrants, and historically underrepresented communities in farm business ownership.
