Farming status, plans, and practices

We are experienced farmers looking to expand our agricultural operation through the lease, lease-to-own, or purchase of additional land. Although our farm business is newly established, we bring years of hands-on experience with farming, orchard and crop production, livestock care, equipment operation, and general farm management.

Our plans include growing pumpkins, seasonal produce, berries and specialty crops, greenhouse production, and raising livestock. We are seeking approximately 15–20+ acres, but are open to larger properties and different opportunities depending on the land and location.

Our long-term vision is to create a diversified family farm that also offers a small agritourism experience. As we grow, we would like to welcome families to the farm for seasonal activities such as a pumpkin patch, farm stand, pick-your-own opportunities, animal experiences, fall activities, educational farm visits, and other family-friendly events. We envision starting small and expanding these activities gradually as the farm becomes established.

We believe strongly in maintaining land responsibly and keeping agricultural property productive and well cared for. Our practices will include responsible soil and nutrient management, crop planning, proper livestock management, and thoughtful pest and weed management, incorporating sustainable and organic practices whenever practical.

We are open to purchasing, leasing, long-term leasing, or lease-to-own arrangements. Ultimately, we are looking for a property where we can put down roots and build a productive working farm that provides locally grown products while giving families an opportunity to experience and enjoy agriculture.

Farm Experience & Education

  • Farm owner
  • Farm manager
  • On farm work experience

We bring several years of hands-on agricultural experience across a variety of farming operations. Our experience includes working with established orchards and fruit production, planting and maintaining crops, pumpkin production, berry production, irrigation, pest and disease management, and general field and farm maintenance.

We also have extensive hands-on experience caring for livestock, including sheep and other farm animals. This includes daily animal care, feeding, pasture and fencing management, breeding considerations, and maintaining safe and appropriate housing.

Our experience also extends to operating and maintaining farm equipment and machinery, property maintenance, fencing, land preparation, and other day-to-day responsibilities that come with running a working farm.

In addition to our existing experience, we have been actively developing our own diversified farm operation. We are expanding into pumpkins and specialty crops, berries, greenhouse production, and livestock, with plans to continue growing over time.

Our long-term goal is to combine our agricultural experience with our own farm operation and eventually develop a small agritourism component, including a farm stand, pumpkin patch, seasonal activities, pick-your-own opportunities, and family-friendly farm experiences.

Although our own farm business is newer, we are not new to agriculture. We understand the amount of work, planning, responsibility, and commitment required to properly care for farmland, crops, equipment, and animals.
