More info on what I am looking for:

Most nature spaces are not accessible and inclusive for disabled or neurodivergent people. I am an occupational therapist and have been helping nature spaces improve their accessibility/inclusivity practices for the past 4 years. I am now ready to take this work deeper and experiment with what kind of space I can design on my own. There are hundreds of ways in which a nature space can be more accessible/inclusive and I am looking for a space that is excited about this potential. Ideally, the space/owners would be in a position to help me bring this idea to life. For example, the space is a non-profit and can support me in applying for grants to fund different projects. However, this is not necessary. The perfect scenario is that I am allowed access to a space with housing provided for free in exchange of me creating a more accessible and inclusive space. However, I am open to discussing other options.

Farm Experience & Education

  • Farm internship/apprenticeship
  • Farmer training or workshop
  • On farm work experience

I have some experience with farming and gardening. I have volunteered in urban farms, aquaponics, apprenticed at Anishinaabe Agriculture Institute and have herbalism experience (growing herbs and some crafting experience). I have participated in many farming workshops. I live in NYC where I mostly do container gardening so I am looking forward to growing food and flowers on a larger scale. I am dedicated to learning how to manage growing plants on a larger scale and will be a lifelong learner to ensure that I am growing sustainability. I do not use any chemicals and have a desire to support the land. I also prioritize growing native plants.
