Farming status, plans, and practices

I have two years of internship/apprenticeship experience on an educational farm, three full seasons as farm crew on vegetable farms, and have had my own small farm business (Catkin Farm LLC) since 2018. I've been scaling it up slowly while being able to maintain off farm jobs. I don't require organic certification but I follow organic and sustainable farming practices and prioritize soil health.

I focus on growing cold hardy chestnut tree seedlings for the Northeast region. Start up costs are low so I've been able to produce healthy seedlings with a fridge to cold stratify seed and an unheated greenhouse to pot them up in Spring, and less than an acre of land.
