Driven and enthusiastic individual with a desire to embrace farm life in NY. I'm looking to establish a tenure agreement where I can contribute to property maintenance in exchange for room and board. I welcome open and fair discussions.

Farmland Needs

Infrastructure required

  • No infrastructure

I am looking for a peaceful and secure farming environment, not too secluded, ensuring easy access to local amenities and services. Essential infrastructure includes indoor plumbing and proper sanitary facilities. As for housing, a modest living space would suffice – a small house or a studio apartment, as long as it is comfortable and secure.

Connectivity is also essential in today's world. I would need access to reliable phone service and WiFi for personal and potential farming needs. Lastly, it's important to me to maintain social connections, so the ability to have visitors on occasion would be a necessary condition of my tenancy.

Desired Tenure

Tenure options desired

  • For Lease
  • Business Partnership
  • Farm Management
  • Cooperative Model
  • Other Tenure Agreement

I am eager to find a farming environment that aligns with my sustainable living goals, I understand the financial commitment associated with renting farmland can be significant. In light of this, I propose a work exchange agreement. Instead of paying rent in traditional currency, I would offer my services in maintaining and improving the farm property.

I do not have previous farm experience but I am a quick learner and I love nature. I am confident that I could contribute positively to your property and offset some of the costs of upkeep. My proposal would cover general maintenance tasks such as cleaning the lodgings, minor repairs, landscaping, and possibly assisting with agricultural duties, depending on your needs.

In exchange for these services, I would live in the provided lodgings and have access to the farmland for my own farming practices. I am flexible in negotiating the exact amount of work hours per week required to fulfill this agreement.

I understand this is an unconventional proposal and I appreciate your consideration.

Please let me know if you are open to this type of arrangement and, if so, when you would be available to discuss this further. I am willing to provide references and meet in person (or via a virtual platform) to discuss the details and establish a relationship of trust.

Thank you for your time.
