We plan to establish a small, organic orchard featuring native fruit with Asimina Triloba (Pawpaw) as the cornerstone. The Pawpaw boasts natural resistance to disease and pests and a large fruit with tropical taste. However the Pawpaw is currently difficult to purchase in local markets and has the potential to be very popular with people in NYC interested in local food, native plants, and gourmet produce.

We would especially welcome water access and electrical access, but understand that establishing a new orchard may require clearing wooded land and starting from scratch.
Desired Tenure
Fruit tree groves require substantial investment which is not portable, therefore we are only interested in purchasing land. We would be interested in a lease to own arrangement which would give us time to establish trees and purchase equipment before taking on debt for a land purchase.
