Farming status, plans, and practices

I have a lifetime of horse experience, have raised sheep and goats and have many years of home gardening and canning. Farming with animal welfare as a priority, and organic principles as our guide, we have healthy happy productive sheep.

I'm looking for a farm management job.

Farm Experience & Education

  • Farm owner
  • On farm work experience

I've managed horse farms - my responsibilities included daily operations, breeding, showing, training, riding, driving, and sales. I had my own farm, raising sheep (breeding stock, meat and wool) and goats (milk) and have kept chickens and cattle. I chose Finnsheep for their beautiful wool, delicious meat, superb temperament, and multiple births. My successful breeding program produced sought after breeding stock and fleeces. Rotational grazing improved the pastures and the barn cleanings grew marvelous fruits, veggies and flowers. I'm currently working as an office manager. While I enjoy my job, I greatly miss farm life and am searching for a hands-on management position that will make use of my extensive animal raising experience and management skills.

This is but the briefest description of my experience and knowledge. I am happy to further discuss with farm owners.
