Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County offers technical assistance to both landseekers and landowners through one-on-one conversations, farm visits for land/enterprise assessment, connections with USDA agencies (such as Soil & Water Conservation District & Natural Resources Conservation Service), connections with professionals (such as realtors lawyers, financial planners, and accountants), and educational opportunities in business planning, land leasing, farmland transition and more. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County also provides training to municipal officials on topics related to agricultural sustainability.
