Cornell Cooperative Extension Tioga County & Hilltop Community Farm

Cornell Cooperative Extension Tioga County's mission is to provide research-based information for farmers, gardeners, and community members, and we coordinate the county 4H program. We seek to improve the lives of our community members and we collaborate with many agencies in the county to enhance the social and economic health of the county.

CCE Tioga serves existing and beginning farmers in Tioga County. CCE Tioga owns and operates Hilltop Community Farm and has a beginning farm incubator program that will welcome beginning farmers in the 2023 growing season. We seek to demonstrate regenerative agriculture techniques that are profitable for the farmers as well as beneficial to our local ecosystem. CCE Tioga also assists folks who are seeking land in Tioga County and will work with them to do soil reports, discuss marketing options, and connect them to resources that will help them start and establish their farm business. We will also work with realtors to connect farmers seeking lands with farms for sale.
