About the Organization
Otsego Land Trust is a community-based nonprofit working to protect and conserve local forests, waters, fields, and farms in perpetuity while providing and promoting public access to nature. We work in the northernmost headwaters of the Susquehanna watershed throughout Otsego County, and extending into Schoharie, Delaware, and Herkimer Counties.
Regional Navigator Services
As a Regional Navigator, Otsego Land Trust works with landowners in our region to protect their land in perpetuity with conservation easements. We have extensive connections with regional organizations that can connect land seekers and landowners. We are actively applying for farmland protection implementation grants through NYSDAM for the purchase of development rights on active farms to ensure these farms are viable and available for farmland seekers in perpetuity.
