Job Description

We are seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Farmer and CSA Assistant for the 2023 growing season.

The SPT Farmer & CSA Assistant’s primary focus is vegetable production, including greenhouse management, field production and harvests, wash and pack and cooler management, as well as occasional livestock work. They will also assist the CSA Manager with CSA Pickup every Saturday. Prior farm experience, while valued, is less important than a good work ethic and attitude, the ability to do very physical work outside during all weather conditions, and a readiness to learn, be effective, have fun and be a part of the team. As this position regularly engages with CSA Members, the SPT Farmer & CSA Assistant should enjoy socializing and sustaining positive customer service focused relationships. This is a great opportunity for someone exploring farming as a profession or looking to take on a farm management role.

The position begins in May and runs through November, though there may be the possibility of extending the season. Exact start and end dates will be set at the time of hire. On-farm housing is not currently available, though we’re happy to help with finding accommodations or consider creative arrangements.
