    Farmland Leasing Resources

In the United States almost 40% of farmland is leased. According to data from the National Agricultural Statistics Service, New York's average cash rental rate is $77 per acre. Leasing land offers an affordable land access option for farmers when compared to purchasing land. A fair, equitable, and secure lease is important for the success of the lease and the relationship between the farmer and landowner. Below are resources on leasing for both farmers and landowners.

    Business Planning Resources for Farmers

A farm business plan is a valuable tool to help famers stay on track to achieve their farm goals such as profitability and growth. A business plan is a written document that defines the business goals, outlines reasons why these goals are attainable and details a plan for reaching these goals. A business plan is not a static document and should be updated regularly. Below are some resources we commonly refer to that can help you draft a business plan.
